Visas
Most countries we should be able to obtain a visa at the border. When travelling
on a British passport one requires a visa for some of the countries. However, travelling
on a South African passport for the same countries, a visa is not necessary. The
complication arises with Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda. There exists a lot of conflicting
information.
I tried to contact the Schengen Visa company before we left the UK, but never got
a response. I thought it a good plan to get one visa in our British passport and
another visa in our South African passport – but that never worked out.
I have since heard about Blade Express in South Africa who can arrange a visa within
about 3 days. So I'll be giving them a call next week. They come highly recommended.

There appears to be conflicting information with regards to obtaining visas at the
border especially relating to Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. Some websites say that
one visa obtained at one border is sufficient to enter the other 2 countries.
Update - Feb 2010 - We spoke to Blade Express and were told that travelling on our
South African passports we shouldn't have a problem obtaining visas at the borders
for any of the countries. We don't need to get visas beforehand for any of the countries.
